In Sanskrit the word Vinyasa means "to place in a special way", in asana (physical) practice we focus on mindfully linking the breath to movement. Vinyasa is a series of postures that move fluidly through a sequence with a strong focus on the body and breath connection. In these classes we often work on inversions, arm balances, and full body stregnth. This class is for yogis with a regular practice.
If you want to raise your heart rate, work toward arm balances, strength, and inversions all while connecting with the breath in a moving meditation.
